Sofia Samatar

Sofia Samatar is the author of the novel, A Stranger in Olondria (Small Beer Press, 2013). She holds a PhD in African Languages and Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she specialized in twentieth-century Egyptian and Sudanese fiction. Her short stories have appeared in Strange HorizonsClarkesworld, and Apex, among others. She is Nonfiction and Poetry Editor for Interfictions: A Journal of Interstitial Arts, and blogs at sofiasamatar.blogspot.com.
